• Bonus Potential (Referral Bonus & Years of Service Bonus) SCOPE - QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN Provides administrative and clerical support to the QA Department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
  • Performs daily thermometer and scale calibration verification. Record keeping and logging.
  • Performs pre-operational inspections on complex machinery.
  • Performs ATP swabbing and maintains the program.
  • Performs allergen swabbing and maintains the program.
  • Assists in Environmental swabbing.
  • Performs any other task assigned to the QA dept lab techs.
  • Maintain and organize results from fat and moisture testing, proof spreadsheet, and email to the required group.
  • Maintains Foreign Materials log and spreadsheet.
  • Review and log APTEAN quality records daily for failed tests or other trends.
  • Reviewing Records with external auditors within areas of responsibility.
  • Carrying out other support functions and activities as required.

    • Attendance requirements met EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
      • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry
      • Experience in Quality Assurance
      • Ability to read and interpret Laboratory instructions and procedure manuals.
      • Knowledge of GMP's, USDA, and OSHA regulations and BRC requirements.
      • Must be trained in chemical usage and hazard communication.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
      • Must be able to work in 3640-degree temperature facility.
      • Strong sense of urgency
      • Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications.
      • Skill in being a self-starter.
      • Ability to work in a team environment.
      • This position is onsite. PHYSICAL/ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS: - QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
        • Repetitive hand motions, reaching, and lifting to 50 lbs.
        • Stand and walk on most of the shift.
        • Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, bend, and lift various weights as needed.
        • Frequently climb ladders, steep inclines, and enter confined spaces.
        • Exposure to cold, humid environments with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees.
        • Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
        • Exposure to strong odors, including ammonia.
