opening for a Production Supervisor position overseeing multiple
departments including Press, Finishing, Warehouse, and Ink Room.

Position Purpose: The Production Superviso r leads and supervises
any assigned shift production operation with responsibilities for
safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, continuous improvement
and employee engagement. The Production Supervisor drives the core
values of Verstraete IML using the guiding principles of FLOW; a

Holidays Responsibilities: Safe ty: Champion all aspects of
personal and Plant Safety including championing safety engagement
and participating as a lead on aSafety Subcommittee using FLOW
guiding principles. Instill a sense ofself-responsibility for
safety among associates. Ensure the safety of theassociates, safe
use of equipment and PPE, and housekeeping. Financial: Support
Plant budget by controlling labor and overtime,inventory, supply
spending, waste, etc. Participate in management meetingsfor
financial health and growth of the company. Leadership: Continually
improve leadership and management skills.Lead and engage team;
drive for understanding of and results which supportplant goals and
KPIs. Regularly communicate KPIs and deliver performancefeedback to
associates. Customer Relationship: Promote a customer-focused
culture in the plant,ensuring on-time deliveries of a quality
product and supporting thedevelopment of new products and
technologies. Determine root causeand corrective action in response
to customer complaints. Make customer sitevisits and participate in
customer visits as needed. Technical Knowledge: Develop and
continually improve technical knowledge of processes in order to
continually improve and problem solve. Utilize and report results
with Order Management System (Microsoft AX, Targit, and
SharePoint). Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of
relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and lean practices,
focused and data based. Utilize and implement 6S. Participate in
plant Lean events. People: Build a high performing team to instill
ownership of production objectives through selection, performance
assessments, training, and development of associates. Support and
enforce plant guidelines. Administer discipline when necessary.
Utilize reward and team recognition programs. Quality: Verify that
associates are following the BRC and ISO processes and procedures
along with work instructions. Values: Model the Corporate Values
and Principles. Qualifications: Mini mum high school education or
equivalent required Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations,
Business, etc. strongly preferred Supervisory experience in the
printing industry preferred Proven ability to run a manufacturing
operation required Minimum 5 years press operating experience
strongly preferred Lean manufacturing formal training and/or
experience strongly preferred Strong math and measurement skills
Experience using computers for mathematical equations, data entry,
etc. required Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make
recommendations, and present findings Ability to make decisions
quickly that are rational, logical, and fact driven Experience with
Microsoft Office Suite required must be proficient in Outlook,
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (utilization of formulas, pivot tables,
etc.). Proven experience with Microsoft AX, SAP, or other
Production and Customer Management System preferred Ability to
safely lift up to 50 lbs., 50 feet in distance frequently; more
weight in shorter distance may occasionally be required Proven
experience leading, managing, and supervising others Candidate must
exhibit the following: Physical and/or mental demands: While
performing the duties of this job the employee is required to: Wear
hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while
in a manufacturing setting Frequently use hands to handle or feel,
and to write and type Occasionally required to stoop, kneel,
crouch, climb / balance, and reach with hands and arms Frequently
lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 35
pounds Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit Vision
abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth
perception, ability to distinguish color variations, ability to
adjust focus, ability to view a computer screen for extended
periods Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate
to loud in manufacturing Work flexible/varying schedules and hours
as needed Work overtime as required by workload and customer
mandated deadlines Other considerations: Wear hearing, foot, eye
and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing
